Gundam Unicorn

I haven't been able to muster much enthusiasm for recent iterations of Gundam, but I might check this out. At least it's set in the U. C. timeline...

Its U.C., its got great designs and its gonna kick all kinds of sorry-ass, shojo pretty boy, pseudo-gundam wannabe butt.

Yeah Gundam Wing, Seed, 00 - I'm talking to you! Char Forever and Amaro for the win baby!

Heh...sorry. Bit of a U.C. Gundam fan...again, sorry.

Kinda goes for nuTrek too, wouldn't you say? Sorry-ass, shojo pretty boy, pseudo-Trek wannabe. Why is it that alternative universe versions so seldom stack up, I wonder?

My feeling is they try too hard.

In an attempt to appeal to the largest number of people in a given demographic, companies often make decisions that water down the uniqueness that may only appeal to a smaller audience.

Unfortunately the side effect result is often missed. You may end up appealing to Group B but you now lessened or lost the patronage of Group A, your original customer, who is still waiting for his/her product.

An sometimes the fans themselves are to blame for demanding the crappy changes. I'm thinking of all the fans who clamored for Asimov to combine his Foundation and Robot series. Unfortunately he listened to them.
